--Use the specially designed hoisting holes on the mould and the hoisting ring equipped with the mould to lift the mould from the packing box. The operator must clarify the weight of the mould and the limit lifting weight of the lifting device.
--Lift the mould into the production line and install it on a mould support (Stand) with a suitable height.Carefully adjust the height so that the inlet end of the mould is connected to the extruder Use a uniform torque to tighten the connecting screws.
--The fastening screws of the connecting flange should be tightened at the corners, otherwise the assembly surface will be uneven due to the pressure deviation, resulting in melt leakage during the extrusion process.
--install the power cord and temperature measuring device (thermocouple) equipped with the mould, make sure that the power cord is connected correctly, and make sure that the temperature measuring device is safely inserted into the bottom of the measuring hole.
--Before production, check all connection lines again, check and approve the equipment safety devices and control system equipment, and whether the temperature and pressure control system settings are appropriate.
--Do a good job of preheating and heat preservation before production. In order to achieve uniform preheating and reduce heat loss, it is recommended that heating be carried out step by step. Set the heating temperature to 100° C for the first time and keep the temperature for 30 minutes; set 150° C for the second time and keep the temperature for 30 minutes; from setting to the required process temperature, keep the temperature for more than 30 minutes before entering normal production.
--Tighten the mould at a temperature of 150° C, first align the mould head, and then align the side plate and the feed port connecting screws. The fastening screw of the mould body should firstly tighten the screw in the middle of the mould, and then operate to both ends in turn, alternating left and right.
--Under working temperature, calibrate the thermocouple to keep the temperature of each zone uniform and constant, and avoid temperature fluctuations in the range. Unstable temperature factors will have a greater impact on the viscosity and fluidity of the material.
--In order to compensate for heat loss or lack of material flow at the end, the temperature of each zone of the mould can be appropriately increased.
--The die lip fine-tuning mechanism is in a natural state when leaving the factory, and should be adjusted to the set value according to the product requirements. The fine-tuning screw should be in a compressed state, and the size of the die lip opening can be adjusted through multiple screws to avoid large-scale adjustment of a single screw and multiple adjustments on each screw.
--Turn on the extruder, check whether the thickness and flow rate are uniform, adjust the die lip appropriately, and adjust the screws to make the material flow distribution. The adjustment method
refers to the technical drawing (appendix) of the manual. After the upstream and downstream equipment and products are completely normal, it will enter continuous production.
--Turn off the feed, reduce the speed of the extruder, and add cleaning material until the cleaning material is extruded from the mould. Turn off the power supply of the production line, stop heating, and clean the inside and outside of the mould thoroughly. If the mould is no longer used for a period of time, use wooden strips and other soft materials to seal the inlet and die lip, and take corresponding protective measures (such as rust, dust, moisture, etc.) for future use .
--We propose that the extrusion mould be completely disassembled after six months of use, cleaned and maintained, and inspected related equipment. All damaged parts (screws, bolts, heating rods, leads, etc.) should be replaced in time. However, main maintenance, The maintenance time should be determined by related issues such as processing materials and production cycle.
--The disassembling, cleaning, overhaul and maintenance of the mould should be carried out by qualified engineers. For any questions about mould maintenance , please contact us in time for consultatio
